Chocolate

Taza Chocolate: 70% Cacao Puro Chocolate Mexicano
I discovered this little chocolate disc in Grocery, just across the street from the crossfit gym. I rarely taste something so amazing - the ingredients are nothing but organic roasted coco beans and organic cane sugar. I'm assuming that what makes this mini chocolate so special is the process described below

To make Cacao Puro, we use Oaxacan stone mills instead of steel refiners, grinding the cacao twice - once by itself, and then a second time, together with the cane sugar. This minimal process lends Cacao Puro its distinctive stone ground texture and robust, wine-like flavor.

Green & Black's Organic Chocolate: Dark 85%
This is a personal favorite - where else can you find 85% coco and such a smooth, sweet taste? According to the website, the secret ingredient is organic vanilla extract - it rounds out all the bitterness normally found in such high coco chocolate.

Chocolove xoxox: 77% Extra Strong Dark Chocolate
I have NEVER found this bar sold anywhere but it looks exceptional and decadent. With only 6 grams of sugar/serving this bar is noteworthy for being extra fatty (which we love) and probably super buttery and smooth.

One of the strongest chocolates made for eating, crafted especially for the dedicated chocolate enthusiast. Extra cocoa butter is added to this artful blend of African and South American cocoa beans.

Endangered Species: 72% Dark Chocolate with Blueberries
Simple, even with the blueberries and not too sweet. Also, not especially buttery or smooth.
via: endangered species

INGREDIENTS: BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE (CHOCOLATE LIQUOR, UNBLEACHED WATER-FILTERED BEET SUGAR, COCOA BUTTER, SOY LECITHIN, VANILLA), INFUSED BLUEBERRIES (BLUEBERRIES, SUGAR, GLYCEROL, NATURAL BLUEBERRY FLAVOR).

  1. ah! G&B 85% is also my favorite...and my second favorite is chocolove 77%. They sell it at the South Street Whole Foods and at this little produce shop in the Comcast Center food court.
